The Department of Theater and Dance invites applications for temporary teaching positions on an ongoing basis. Temporary appointment positions are variable in terms of percentage of time. They range from one quarter to one year with the possibility of reappointment that is dependent upon performance and departmental needs. The department is currently recruiting for spring and summer of the 2019-20 academic year, and fall and winter of 2020-2021. Applicant should possess an MFA degree or equivalent professional experience (5 years professional work in the applicant's area of specialization). College or University teaching experience is desired. Five years working as a professional actor, director, or theater professional is preferred. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. Salary is based on UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications.
