Ottiliana Rolandsson Office Hours & Location, Teaching Schedule
Research BA degree in Dramatic Art magna cum laude UCI.MA degree in Dramatic Art UCSB. PhD Candidate UCSB. Ottiliana Rolandsson's dissertation, Ingmar BergmanÌs Actors as Agents of Myth and Symbol, researches Ingmar BergmanÌs concept of the actor and how this notion informs the specificities of his directorial style and relationship with the actual actors he traditionally has worked with. Rolandsson is an actress, with a great interest in writing and directing plays. Currently she is performing her one-woman show ÏI Was Greta Garbo,Ó which is developing into a screenplay. For Ottiliana Rolandsson there is no contradiction between the academic and the artistic work in the life of the actor as art and scholarship can prosper together. Contact
