BUILDING A SPACE FOR CREATIVITY:
THE NEW THEATER AND DANCE COMPLEX

A state-funded building complex at UC Santa Barbara, broke ground in 2005. It has become the new home of the educational and creative programs of the Department of Theater and Dance. The new building provides state-of-the-art labs and classrooms for education, research, performance, and production and a central part of a renovated Arts District on campus. Students use these facilities to create their projects for performance in our different theater venues.

With the successful completion of this new building, the Department of Theater and Dance is firmly established as an important center for research, education, and training in theater and dance.
You Can Help

UC Santa Barbara has embarked on a multimillion dollar development effort to meet capital and program needs. Private philanthropy is needed to realize the vision of the department for its teaching and creative projects.
