Michael Douglas Visiting Artist: Sarah Jones

The Department of Theater/Dance is welcoming Sarah Jones as part of Michael Douglas Visiting Artist program. Tony and Obie Award-winning playwright, performer and activist Sarah Jones’ masterful characterizations have placed her squarely among today’s leading figures in theater. Her Broadway hit Bridge & Tunnel expressed the full humanity and humor of voices seldom heard, and The New York Times has called her writing “lively, compassionate, mildly sardonic and smart.”

“A master of the genre.” - The New York Times

Ms. Jones will give a lecture "On Character Building: Inhabiting Another Through Inhabiting Oneself" on Wednesday January 25 at 5:30 pm at HSSB Ballet Studio. For this event tickets are FREE, but reservation is required. Reserve your ticket HERE. In addition to this lecture, Ms. Jones will perform at the Campbell hall on January 24. “A sort of multicultural mynah bird, [Jones] lays our mongrel nation before us with gorgeous, pitch-perfect impersonations of the rarely heard or dramatized.” - The New Yorker
