LECTURERS (Acting/Directing/Voice/Movement in Theater and Dance)

The Department of Theater and Dance invites applications for temporary teaching positions on an ongoing basis. Temporary appointment positions are variable in terms of percentage of time. They will range from one quarter to one year with the possibility of reappointment that is dependent upon performance and departmental needs. Applicant should possess an MFA degree or equivalent professional experience. College or University teaching experience is desired. Five years working as a professional actor, director, or theater professional is preferred. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. Salary is based on UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreement.
