IV LIVE
iv live
I.V. LIVE is both a student organization and theatre production class that presents live entertainment every weekend in Isla Vista, a densely populated community on the beach and adjacent to UCSB. In Fall 2007 we feature IMPROVABILITY, UCSB's premier improv group every Friday night in Embarcadero Hall at 8 pm.

Modern Trends
Thtr 151D is designed for theater majors, both BFA's and BA's, who are interested in pursuing careers in theatre, film and television. This course offers students a behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment industry and the theatre. Each week students will engage in discussion and workshops with professional actors, casting directors, directors, playwrights and filmmakers. Focus will be in such areas as auditioning and casting, stage vs on-camera acting, directing and writing for stage, film and television. The goal of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to explore the business of 'the business' as well as and the creative and artistic challenges they will face as professionals.
